The Black Heart (ex Camden Tup), Camden
FancyaPint?'s review...
After a couple of years in operation, the Black Heart is starting to find its feet. There are many people (including us) who like the fact that this pub is in the bustling heart of Camden, over the road from the World's End, yet is rarely heaving. However, one does fear for its viability long term. Nevertheless, while it's open we will go: there is a good selection of beers (cask ales, bottled beers and beer/lager on tap), both domestic and foreign. They aren't cheap - a local IPA from the Camden Head brewery is over £4 - but they are delicious. Mostly the music is at a volume that doesn't preclude sociable conversation. The décor is gothic, but doesn't take itself too seriously. And the pizzas made on-site are good value, and rather delicious.

How to find the The Black Heart (ex Camden Tup) pub
Come out of the entrance to Camden Town tube that faces the World's End and NatWest bank (or walk round to it if it's locked, which it has been lately). Head for the bank and find an alleyway to the side - this is Greenland Place.
