The Blue Posts is an attractive pub up to the usual Sam Smiths standards. Downstairs is a predominantly vertical drinking space, but there are plenty of high stools and ledges on which to rest your drink. One corner is also devoted to something a few Sam Smiths pubs in the area can boast - a dart board - which seems to prove rather popular. As one would expect from a pub in Fitzrovia it gets pretty busy at the usual times, albeit not quite as much as other nearby places. Service is pretty good and the food also above average for a Sam Smiths pub; as usual, though, be aware that they only serve their own brands of drink - right down to the Cola. Certainly a handy refuge from Oxford Street, the highlight for us is the elegant Edwardian drawing room style bar upstairs (although you can't always use it, as it is frequently hired out for private parties).
