The Bodhran, Hendon
FancyaPint?'s review...
Shop conversion Irish pubs rarely get glowing reviews, but as such things go, the Bodhran is not a bad place for a pint. Understandably, the demographic was skewed significantly towards men (the only women were behind the bar) but everybody seemed pretty relaxed and it was less intense compared to other, similar places. The good L-shaped design created two atmospherically separate areas, while interesting murals filled some of the wall space. There was even a back garden where we hear BBQs have taken place in the past, which is rare for this type of pub. The choice of drinking establishments this close to Hendon tube station isn't outstanding and while not a place to travel to, The Bodhran is one of the more genuine places in the area.
