The Bricklayer's Arms, Forest Hill
FancyaPint?'s review...
Owned by Youngs, this is an unpretentious fairly local pub that does everything a pub is supposed to. A Victorian pub rebuilt in the '20s, it was damaged six times by falling bombs during WWII. Its spacious interior offers plenty of seating and a quiet atmosphere prevailed on our visit, apart from some fine reggae on the jukebox. Young's beers and some guests on the taps, pool tables and a dart board - lots of teams, including two pool teams and a darts team and most interestingly(depending on your point of view) a golf society! It's escaped the Young's style bar makeover and we hope it will continue to stay just the same.
