The Burlington Arms, Green Park
FancyaPint?'s review...
The Burlington Arms is a modernised (i.e. stripped out) Victorian pub in a pretty posh area, serving a a few real ales on the hand pumps and a 21st century mix of wines and spirits. It's a pub of two small halves with an upstairs dining room and a downstairs bar, although the amount of seating seems to have improved, probably to get more people eating as much as packing them in. Most evenings there's a hectic afterwork crowd from the surrounding offices and sometimes officers from the nick across the road (it was hard to see the pub for the police vans when we were here last), which in nice weather spills out onto the pavement. Getting a drink can be quite an accomplishment at these times. Late in the evening things quieten down and then, it may be possible to get a seat. Not really a pub to go out of your way for, but if you're around here and it's quietish it might be worth a punt.
