As the Camel chain appears to have been bought out or something - we can't actually work it out - a lot of their pubs have changed. This one's been given a slightly eccentric makeover, but it's pretty modern with patterned flock wallpaper, subdued lighting and comfy booths. It's got friendly and efficient service with decent beer on the taps, all Greene King beers, as well as a pub grub menu. There's a decent garden out the back which is a perfect sun trap on nice days. The upstairs bar is available to hire and tellies around the place mean if the footy's on, you can see it from most places. It's a step up from the old Camel chain, in our opinion, and it was decent enough on our last visit - we'll have to go back and give it another go.
