Part of the Fuller's hotel chain, this one is a touch above your average hotel bar though. You'd expect the beers to be up to scratch, and so they are. Given its recent arrival on the scene, you get the impression that not all the local punters had cottoned on to this one yet. Perhaps a good sign, given the in yer face atmosphere of the Three Lords across the road. Saying that, a trip to the gents did lead us past a function room showing the aftermath of a bruising brainstorming, so it seems at least some part of the City has found it out. A decent effort in the food and drink departments, but with one odd feature: a barman who (following in the footsteps of the shopkeeper in Mr. Benn) appeared as if by magic. Well, from behind a curtain. Certainly surprised us though.
