this is an OK place, it's pleasant enough inside with Tudor style décor - (watch out for the low ceiling!) There is not a lot of seating, mainly as there's a sectioned off a sort of sport area, with darts board, two pool tables and a big screen, a bit overpowering, but it is quite separate. We like the way it's introduced modern concepts but still kept its tradition and the beer garden is quite nice. It's a Greene King pub so there's a range of decent drinks and the menu is nice and cheap. This place has a very varied clientele, it's out of town but on the edge of quite a rough housing estate (Turpington), but it's not a rough pub though. It's a little bit awkward to get to but if you don't mind travelling it's worth a go.
