The Cock Tavern is an exuberant Victorian pub with giant glass lanterns outside and a wonderfully ornate interior. A long, narrow pub, it has a fair amount of seating and serves the usual range of Samuel Smith beers. Like all the other pubs in this area, it is often packed with shoppers, workers and people out on the town (especially towards the end of the week). But it's certainly worthy of your patronage, especially if you like Sam Smith beers and dislike West End prices.

The Cock Tavern is a lively pub in a very convenient location close to Oxford circus. It's just set back from Oxford St in Fitzrovia, but the crowd seemed mostly post-work media/rag-trade types rather than tourists. There is nothing particularly amazing about the pub inside, but as with most Samuel Smith pubs, it has a couple of unusual features such as the bar-back and a nice old fireplace. It also has 4 MASSIVE lanterns hanging outside! Definitely worth a visit for a pint or 2.

One of my favorite pubs in the area away from the main drag of Oxford street - As with all the Sam Smith pubs - and there are a few on this side of Oxford street - decent beer if you like JS (i do) and very well priced particularly for the west end
Service decent only minor thing is that it can and get a little busy at the usual times - but not as bad as some in the area - keep it up --

Service can be a bit slow, but I think that's because of the patron/bartender ratio. Other than that - a very nice pub with excellent prices.
