The Compass, Bromley
FancyaPint?'s review...
Great little place in Bromley North. It could potentially attract all sorts due to its location, which is really on the edge of the prime shopping area. However, despite the fact that it is very small it never gets too packed and you'll find there's a friendly crowd. The décor is basically The Firkin style, this being one that was taken over by them, so it's a little on the dark and dingy side inside but we think the nice atmosphere makes up for that. In terms of the quality and the price of drinks this pub tends to vary fairly frequently, although it's never by any means bad it is sometimes better than at other times. At the moment there is a good choice of round the world beers and the wine is noticeably cheap. What doesn't change is the friendly vibe and pleasant feel about the place that tends to guarantee a good time will be had. There is also a pool table and you won't have a problem getting a game. They shouldn't have bothered with the garden though - it's basically a back yard!
