The Cricketers is a handsome pub in a picturesque British setting. It's very much the tourist ideal of the English pub, especially in summer when there's cricket played on the green out front. In fact the Cricketers is so true-to-type, it has even appeared on TV once or twice. It's a Greene King pub so the drink and food are usually up to scratch and the service polite and efficient. It can get pretty packed on a summer's day when the sun's out and there's cricket on the green and occasionally things can get a little fraught here when the crowds overwhelm the staff. And should the British weather behave as you expect you can always go indoors and watch the rain from the handy upstairs room, or the sport on one of the TVs. A popular place and understandably so.

A pub in a great location with great potential. Let down by lazy management with no customer service or care. This is the second chance I have given the place and I won't be going back. There are much better options in the area.
The food is aweful. The Loos are disgusting unless you take your wellies to wade through the P!$$. On a busy saturday night, the MANAGER refused to serve me because she would rather have kept her arms crossed and keep chatting with another member of staff. I only give this place a 2 out of 10. One for the one good staff member who served me with ger usual smile. And one for the location.
