The Crown is a big old pub in the very heart of Blackheath, with a huge terrace out front. The Crown's central location makes it a popular meeting place with the locals, so it's often packed at weekends (especially in summer) as the sun catches the terrace for a while. It's a Shepherd Neame pub, so there's nothing out of the ordinary about the fare - it's the usual, standard range of Shepherd Neame ales, lagers, cider, wines and spirits and there's nothing out of the ordinary about the pub either. The Crown's a large, competent, boozer that seems to go down well with the locals and that's probably the way they'd like it to stay.
