Drum is the kind of pub people either love or hate. In keeping with some other Wetherspoons in greater London, you will find a male dominated environment, sometimes dipping into with the kind of ambience that accompanies old men and cheap prices. On the other hand, those CAMRA folk on the hunt for real ale will not be disappointed - there are plenty on offer here. On our weekend night visit the place was bustling with people and the atmosphere pretty convivial. Perhaps it has something to do with this being an actual pub, rather than a converted carpet showroom, but this would appear to be that most rare of beasts - an above average Wetherspoons.
