The East Hill, Wandsworth
FancyaPint?'s review...
This is another one that's been Geronimoed - and we've been in so many lately we almost didn't notice to start with! It follows their winning formula of decent beer and wine lists and a good menu which the locals were all tucking into when we were last in. It's definitely a local's place, as it's far enough from Wandsworth High Street that if you don't know it's there you're unlikely to stumble upon it unless you've taken a "shortcut" up the hill from Wandsworth Town Station. In a strange acoustic black hole, one can't even hear the endless rumble of traffic from the High Street. It's relaxed and pleasant enough inside with comfortable chairs and an open fire, and there's a good-sized terrace out the front for those warmer days, too. Worth the trip if one's had enough of the Young's pubs on the High Street.
