The Eight Bells, Putney
FancyaPint?'s review...
This is a great traditional pub just across the bridge from Putney and when its not packed with weekenders - footy, boat race similar stuff - it's a real locals' place. That said, the locals are pretty friendly and happy to share. There's a couple of decent beers on the hand pumps and ordinary (and cheap) pub grub for the lunchtime locals and friendly service. Pleasant enough place to spend an afternoon when it's quieter, it's location means it's handy to meet in as it's so near the station. And as a result, it's a place from which many people start Putney pub crawls.
