The Enkel Arms, Holloway
FancyaPint?'s review...
This inexplicably popular boozer is, as my drinking companion pointed out, an extension of the street outside - i.e. noisy, dirty and often full of people you'd prefer not be in close proximity to. It feels rather like a Wetherspoon wannabe, but although the place itself is lacking in character it does have something of an atmosphere, of the loud sort, and was fairly busy on the weeknight we visited. The facilities are good, with three pool tables, a handy cash machine and a variety of TVs dotted around the place. If you like shouting at your friends across the table, and don't mind that you have one elbow in a pool of beer then great. If not, perhaps you should pop round the corner to Big Red for a pub with a bit more individuality.
