The Fox, Palmers Green
FancyaPint?'s review...
A fixture on Green Lanes when all around was still fields, this one's a safe enough bet again after a rather chequered few years. It retains its Day-Glo, Breezer'd up interior, but seems more of a relaxing place now. The bar covers the bare essentials and a cheap and cheerful menu fits the bill nicely. As for entertainment, the pool tables and comedy nights are now things of the past, replaced with live bands at the weekend. On our visit though, most punters were drawn to the allure of Sky Sports on the myriad of small screens. Though curiously, the management thought turning the sound down and playing Virgin Radio over the top would add to the excitement. We trust they don't do this when the Big Matches are on... All in all though, a decent pub for Palmers Green.

Contrary to the previous post, the comedy nights are alive and well. I saw Simon Munnery there only a couple of weeks ago. So the quality of comedy is also good. This pub is beautiful on its exterior but unfortunately it has been ripped out inside and is one of those faux ninteies pastel coloured clones. The staff are decent locals and this is a nice place to go but nothing spectacular..as if you would expect that from a pub for goodness sake!
