The Fox, Hoxton
FancyaPint?'s review...
Now under the management that have already brought you Hoxton's excellent Howl at the Moon, The Fox is aiming not just to be a safe bet for a decent pint and a bite to eat but a destination venue. It's already much of the way there. The cask beer selection is tough to beat, with Thornbridge, Dark Star, Magic Rock and Brodie's among the line-up. Keg beers include the rare and exceptional Czech lagers from Bernard (Light, Premium and the majestic Dark), with Belgian and US guests also available. Banks of fridges offer a plethora of bottled delights. Friendly and enthusiastic staff told your reviewer there are plans to broaden the beer selection further still and offer real ciders. On our visit, the beers were all in top form. A bottle of 2009 Macon Villages is an affordable £17.25. Cocktails are keenly priced at £6.00-£7.00, though fancyapint did not partake. Food is pitched at the unfussy gastropub end of the market (Jerusalem artichoke soup, steak, ploughman's, neck of lamb stew, etc.) and looked delicious. It's a big, dark, inviting space with a decent future ahead of it. The Fox is certain to become a firm local favourite.

Absolutely terrible.
We went for Sunday Roast lunch and it was terrible, the beef was like boot leather, there were hardly any potatoes and the ‘gravy’ was tomato sauce! When we complained the manager said we should have said something sooner and even though we had left all the beef, which really was inedible they still refused to take anything off the bill. Terrible customer service, although the service from our waitress was satisfactory.
DO NOT EAT HERE! Instead it will annoy you less to simply flush £25 down the toilet.
