At first glance this pub is much like any other - it's a solid local with good beers and a friendly atmosphere. What makes it exceptional is the canalside garden, separated from the towpath by a white picker fence. There's seating for about 60 people and a large barbecue. Sitting in this garden, sipping beer and watching life pass by on the canal is the perfect way to spend a summer's Sunday afternoon.

I've been drinking in the the Eliott for a very long time, it's just recently had a facelift which is nice and has not spoilt the pub in any way, it still has a great atmosphere, well kept ales, good home style cooking and always lots going on, this is what a local should be :)
