The George, Catford
FancyaPint?'s review...
We're not sure how much significance to read into it, but in this part of London the pubs appear to have either a mainly white clientele or a mainly black clientele. On our visit here the latter dominated, notwithstanding the rather Hanoverian name (the pub sign was even missing the 'e' on the end; we'd like to think this was for the sake of authenticity, but suspect not). Other than that, there's not much to say. It's big and there's plenty of room. Everyone in the pub was too busy watching the football to notice us or use the attached Chinese eatery, which was deserted.
