Well, it's open again, which is something. No, seriously, it is good, as the new management have done a really good job with it, making even the large rooms feel very welcoming, with comfy sofas in conversation groups and comfortable nooks and crannies. There's not much in the way of real ale, but if you like lager and Guinness, this'll be the one for you. The menu's fairly standard pub grub, but that's not a bad thing, necessarily. It has changed the way it runs, mainly open at evenings and weekends now. This is a huge pub, seeming to go on for ages and the beer garden seems to be even bigger. We're guessing from the 'no ball games' sign that there are a few kids in at the weekends (unless that's for the big kids). It does live music and is starting Salsa classes, so there'll soon be something there for everyone.
