A solid yet unexceptional neighbourhood local, this pub always seems to be pretty busy (perhaps as it's at least 10 minutes walk in any direction to get to another boozer). The service is always cheery and polite, the food is extremely cheap and they always have well kept London Pride and a guest beer on. Although it's a one room pub, the larger back area is often taken up with people watching football on the big screen, leaving the front section for conversation and diners. It's a perfectly good local, but we can't escape the feeling that it's am identikit pub which could be anywhere in the country.
