The Griffin, Totteridge & Whetstone
FancyaPint?'s review...
One of those ex-Firkin pubs that's relaunched itself as a loungey, leather sofa venue, albeit it with some nice original features, including some large fireplaces and a stone floor. It certainly fills a local need and is a pretty safe bet should you find yourself in the area. The beer garden stretches back a fair way (complete with kiddies swings at the back) and the courtyard area where you could once find an al fresco pool table has been converted into a rather cosy extra room. Friendly service, too.

Awful. Hugely expensive, cliquey and rubbish service. Beer frequently off, when they bother having any and the staff are unpleasant and rude. I stopped going in there when I had to complain about the Newcastle Brown I'd been given was lumpy and 6 months out of date. My reward for complaining? "If you don't like it, go elsewhere." Now I do and so do most of the other locals with brains.
