Closed and currently boarded up after the owners couldn't afford to keep going. The pub itself was fine, but they'd bought the freehold and couldn't keep up with the repayments unfortunately and had to sell.
Someone's bought it but who knows who or why. The fact they've apparently stripped the bar out and knocked through some walls doesn't bode well.
This was never a pub I visited much myself, but it wasn't a bad boozer and doesn't deserve to be in the state it is in right now
