The Hillgate, Notting Hill
FancyaPint?'s review...
"A decent, friendly local boozer" is how we've very previously summed this one up, but given the pub has recently has a gastro makeover we may have to reword that one. We'll be back round to re-review it as soon as we can.

Went in June 2009. Really friendly staff, good selection of ales. Nice seating indoors and out for a quiet spot of newspaper reading on a Saturday.
Ok food if a touch expensive. BE WARNED - the vegetarian in our party had a shit time here. The cesar salad without chicken was one of only a few choices, cost nine quid and was basically a few leaves with a single shred of parmasan on top. And a bit of dressing.
Eat before you go.
