The Hollybush, Enfield
FancyaPint?'s review...
Do you remember when pubs were just pubs? Dark interiors, patterned carpets, pool tables, dartboards, karaoke and old blokes propping up one side of the bar? If you do, you either remember the years before 1998 pretty well... or live in Enfield, a place almost entirely missed off the gastropub map. The Hollybush is one of these pubs. A fair proportion of the clientele here are best described as 'normal Enfield blokes', so expect loudness, football talk, high lager sales and a propensity for unpredictability. Consequently you never know what kind of atmosphere you'll find here - we've not witnessed any real problems here, but the occasional lairy behaviour might just get a bit too much for those of a more sensitive disposition. Still, there's plenty of events to keep the punters entertained: live bands, quiz nights and party nights all go towards making this a proper local pub.

I am the manager of the hollybush pub. since this review was put on here a lot has changed. the exterior and interior of the pub has changed for the better and is now more of a community pub than anything else. great offers on beers at lunchtimes and certain sporting events. we have 6 plasma tvs showing all major sporting events. karaoke on fridays and sundays disco on saturdays. it is well worth popping in to see the changes ricky and jane had done to the place.
