This one's settled in nicely after its refurb, making it a classy and comfortable place to go with superb beers and great, good value food. The corner site provides a triple aspect onto Wandsworth common and the big windows and high ceilings contribute to the light airy feel of the place. Furnishing is an eclectic mix of squashy and arty sofas, traditional wood and just-this-side-of practical modern stuff, mixed with features like traditional butchers' chopping tables. It's bigger than it looks with an airy lounge area and a few steps up to the bar area with a couple of smaller areas just off that. Beers are well-kept and change regularly - there's an Ale Club on Thursdays, so there's obviously something in it. There's a decent wine list, probably prompting the Tuesday Wine Society. Pricing reflects the aspirational nature of the area - it is virtually next door to the Michelin starred Chez Bruce. They cater for all sorts, too - as shown by the pet snacks on the sideboard.
