Another addition to the Wetherspoon empire, this one does have one excellent thing going for it: when the weather's good, you can sit outside and people watch. The interior leaves much to be desired, wannabe trendy, full of brushed chrome and plastic. This may suit the City transplant crowd in there during week, but it's a rather unsettling atmosphere for drinking. It's got the usual variety of beers on tap and some excellent specials. On a fine day at the weekend the place gets packed with families and with the opening of the Museum in Docklands, it looks like it's going to stay that way. Friday and Saturday nights it's packed with pre-clubbers. Not the place for a quiet drink, but certainly one of the most economical in the area.

Perfect for a day out.
I have visited this pub on three occasions for mid-week lunch with family and friends on trips to the wonderful Docklands Museum.
With the DLR nearby (West India Quay station) access is so good. This Wetherspoon is airy and bright and has a separate dining section.
You can expect the usual quality fayre and attentive staff. I don't agree with Fancyapint's two star review.
