Another addition to the Wetherspoon empire, this one does have one excellent thing going for it: when the weather's good, you can sit outside and people watch. The interior leaves much to be desired, wannabe trendy, full of brushed chrome and plastic. This may suit the City transplant crowd in there during week, but it's a rather unsettling atmosphere for drinking. It's got the usual variety of beers on tap and some excellent specials. On a fine day at the weekend the place gets packed with families and with the opening of the Museum in Docklands, it looks like it's going to stay that way. Friday and Saturday nights it's packed with pre-clubbers. Not the place for a quiet drink, but certainly one of the most economical in the area.

How to find the The Ledger Building pub

From West India Quay: Leaving the DLR station, go out the side with the two large dock cranes, past the new Marriott hotel and the steamship. The pub is on the right, down at the end of the dock, beyond the other restaurants and bars.
