The Lyttleton Arms (ex-The Crescent), Camden
FancyaPint?'s review...
After a series of underwhelming incarnations over the last few years, the new look and the new name has created something resembling a decent pub. There is a comfortable feel to the place, with plenty of different seating areas complete with a great mural on the back wall. The bar is well stocked, with plenty of ales, lagers and wines to choose from, while the food seems reasonably priced. Live events and DJs are book throughout the week to give the place a bit of energy, while the member of staff we encountered was cheery, if not exactly on-the-ball. As for the new name, it is dedicated to the late host of Radio 4's "I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue", to tie in with the proximity to Mornington Crescent tube station. If you can't see the connection, acquaint yourself with the rules of this venerable game and give the pub a look, too. With the refurbished Camden Head and the Blues Kitchen, there is a re-energised little pub crawl to be had here.
