This is a big pub on the main road near Eastcote tube station. It has a concreted beer garden at the front so, if you go on a sunny day, you get an unrivalled view of the traffic careering past. Appropriately enough, for a pub based in one of London's near-identikit suburbs, this boozer is bland and unremarkable. The first-time visitor will get a strong sensation they've been there before; which is handy if you want to find the toilets by instinct, but soul-destroying if you planned to enjoy yourself. The Manor has a restaurant and serves hot food. It's a reasonable place if you happen to be in the area and fancy a quick pint, but after a few we hopped on the tube to find somewhere better.
