A rather large gastropub just opposite Battersea Park Station, this one's maturing nicely. With an interior that borders on sparse, but with comfy sofas and lots of choices of seating, it's not that unique for this kind of place. On the up side, service was prompt and efficient, if not exactly gushing, and the beer was all Fuller's - including their lovely London Porter (it's obviously that time of year). Judging by the near capacity crowd of regulars and blokes having a few pints after playing footy, this has become a hub in the community and perhaps deservedly so. There is a telly, but we've no idea what they show or when they show it. The food smelled great, but we didn't get the chance to try it - we'll have to come back to try the food as the enticing smells nearly convinced us to have a second dinner!
