We were a little surprised by the slightly down-at-heel cafe feel to what was once a fairly traditional pub. The locals don't seem to mind as it was pretty busy on our last visit on a sunny afternoon. The empty pumps on the bar were a disappointment, as the rest of the drink selection tends to standard lager, Guinness and John Smiths. With the tellies sprinkled around and the pool table and dart board, it seems to be more of an activity pub than a place we'd go for a quiet drink. There's a Chinese menu available all day and the barman was genial enough, greeting the regulars by name. As there's a dearth of pubs along the Wandsworth Road, we can see why it's surviving, we just don't think we'll be going out of our way to go back.
