The Oporto Tavern, Poplar
FancyaPint?'s review...
Proving that Docklands isn't all shiny office blocks and modish flats, here's a remnant of predevelopment. Located on what feels like a roundabout and with the air of a place that would get raided on "The Bill", there's not a lot to recommend here. Sure, there's a pool table and a big screen for the sport, but perhaps you're best leaving it to the locals.

At long last, finally a decent and (permanent) new landlord at the Oporto. Pete West was on top form and it was great to see a lot of the old faces from East London, especially the lads from Bethnal Green and Bow. I was there for the whole weekend. What a great atmosphere, the music was fantastic, the drinks were flowing freely and it looks like there are more great things to come. So do yourselves a favour and get yourself down to The Oporto to have a guaranteed good night out.
