The Perseverance, Marylebone
FancyaPint?'s review...
If you can resist the urge to head towards Regent's Park or the High Street upon leaving Marylebone, the back streets provide a few decent options within a couple of minutes walk. One of these is the Perseverance, tucked away off Lisson Grove. The light, airy main bar, helped by a large skylight and several fans, is dominated by a bar in the middle of the room with most of the seating towards the back. The décor is simple, but feels warm, and from a cursory glance at the walls we spotted an interesting array of pictures, from work by Salvador Dali to a photo of the Rat Pack. Ol' Blue Eyes and co. also look down from a picture in the compact function room upstairs that regularly hosts acoustic gigs and a weekly open mic night.
