The Pilgrim, Vauxhall
FancyaPint?'s review...
Another one popular with the locals - would have to be local, as it's not really on the way to anywhere situated almost equally between Vauxhall and Kennington stations. It's friendly enough, but the staff were struggling to keep up with orders when we were in last. It's a great place to watch the footy, as there's tellies all over the place, including a large plasma out in the garden - a prime place to see the World Cup matches as we found. There's ale on two pumps, but only one was on with Spitfire on our visit, lager seeming to be the main tipple of choice amongst the patrons. They do barbecues in the garden in nice weather and both front and back gardens seem to get their share of sunshine. If you're looking for somewhere to go a little further from Oval or Vauxhall, you could do a lot worse. Give it a go.
