The Pleasure Boat is situated alongside the Grand Union Canal where it passes through Alperton. Although from a distance, it appears run-down, verging on derelict, and suggests at best a grim and dour old man's pub, the Pleasure Boat is a reasonably clean, average suburban pub. Although it doesn't quite live up to the promise of its name, you could probably do worse than here if you are in the area and are in need of a quick pint. The selection of beers is certainly nothing to write home about, and don't expect a fine selection of wines. It does have a pool table and serves food, although when we were there they weren't serving, apparently due to an imminent change of management. With a garden alongside the canal, this pub could be one for the summer, although it's probably not worth making a special trip.
