The Plough, Finsbury Park
FancyaPint?'s review...
If your few regulars are complaining that Wetherspoon pubs aren't actually that cheap, it could be considered a warning sign. Perhaps time to make a bit more of an effort with the place. The Plough consists of one large room featuring a pool table, darts board, quiz machines and several screens for the watching of the sport. The pub has a mismatched feel to it, with huge stained glass windows on two sides of the boozer, overlooking a dilapidated red phone box outside, some tatty areas and newish-looking multicoloured banquette seating. We received a friendly welcome from the woman behind the bar, but sadly the real ales advertised on the wall didn't materialise - the beer on one hand pump was off.
