The Queen's Head, Mitcham
FancyaPint?'s review...
We thought this was a promising-looking place. A traditional-looking inn overlooking the Cricket Green, it hinted at an old time village atmosphere. But when we walked in the locals appeared astonished that any strangers would want to come here. The atmosphere had the flat desperation of lives not fully lived. Our pint was ill kept and we didn't want to write anything in the way of a report in case we were accused of witchcraft and suffered summary mob justice. Not an unfriendly place, just a depressing one.
