The Queensbury, Willesden Green
FancyaPint?'s review...
A change of owner, a facelift and a minor rethink re bar vs pub status, and this venue is much improved and rapidly becoming the go-to pub for the younger Willesden Green/Dollis Hill set, who do not have much choice outside of Kilburn. The real ale credentials have vastly improved, with 3 hand pumps for regular and guest ales, occasional extra kegs, and a manager dedicated to bringing in more. The closure of the neighbouring Conservative Club has doubled the outdoor space available (Cameron's loss is Willesden Green's gain). But otherwise internally it is much the same - there is a restaurant area out the back, nicely separating the drinkers from the eaters, and the food is pretty decent. The only niggle is the rather poor bar service. At one point on a typically busy Friday night there was only one person serving. Sort that out and a fourth pint could be yours!

Every time I visit The Queensbury I am increasingly impressed. The food and service fit perfectly with the sophisticated decor. I don't know whether there has been management or staffing changes but I never experience the poor bar service described above, the staff seem very well trained and efficient and always have the busy rushes under control. Maybe the manager read your review and made some changes!

We had a lovely Sunday roast here last weekend with my boyfriend and his parents. We had roast beef and the portions were very generous, and the meal very fairly priced for both quality and quantity. The staff were lovely too. Had only been here for drinks before, so it was nice to see the food is great as well.

The Green has recently changed names to the Queensbury, complete with new (yet still under construction) website at http://www.thequeensbury.net/
The pub is open, and seems to have the same staff, decor and menu as before, so I don't know if it's a large change or just a rebranding exercise.
