The Railway certainly seems to be improving. There's now a choice of 2 or 3 cask bitters, all in reasonable nick and who can grumble at a decent Courage Best for £1.99? The food seems pretty standard Ember Inns fare and it's all served up (at lunchtimes, at least) by young and friendly staff who appear to be doing their best. Certainly recommended for the occasional old codgers' lunch.

Hi

Just taken over The Railway as a management couple under the new owners of Justin and Anu. If people aren't aware we have live music every weekend and an open mic night on Thursdays. We have also started a Pool Competition on Tuesdays and fingers crossed food to come very soon.

Pop in and say hello. Hotel details and gig lists are available at the bar.
