This is one of those soulless Ember Inn pubs but this one is particularly unpleasant. Situated down by the station it gets quite packed but the atmosphere is rather rowdy and discomfiting. On top of that, the bar staff often fail to keep up - it's generally quite messy and on our last visit we had to wait an unacceptable amount of time at the bar. And another thing is that nearly all of the pub is no smoking - so the small smoking area gets far too crowded. West Wickham doesn't appear to be a good area to find yourself thirsty in, even so, there are (slightly) better places around.

Just thought I'd add an update as the last review was rather .... old! This has had an uplift obviously - I found it pleasant enough and the beer was in quite good condition. Yes it is a standard Ember inn but the staff were OK and it certainly was not rowdy on the couple of occasions I have been. Certainly quite a pleasant pub for a warm Sunday afternoon.
