The Red Cow, Richmond
FancyaPint?'s review...
The Red Cow has been serving beer to the locals of Richmond for over 200 years and continues to do a fine job today. Being a Young's pub it has the usual excellent range of ales, which can help you wash down home-cooked food from a menu that changes daily. It's had a bit of a refurb in recent times, with the addition of some tall tables and bar stools plus loungey furniture that have added a touch of the Casbah at the rear of the pub. The pub's splendid Victorian decoration remains intact and, with the big screens for sport around the pub, it adds up to an interesting but comfortable mix. If beer, food or sport isn't enough for you, there's usually live music at the weekend and if the prospect of a walk down to the station seems too much like hard work, you can always stay in one of the bedrooms here. All-in-all the Red Cow is a jolly fine pub for locals and visitors alike.
