The Red Rose is the bar for the rather more well-known comedy club above, but that doesn't stop it being rather a nice little pub in its own right. It's certainly small, but comfy, giving you the feeling of having a pint in someone's hastily converted living room. This was very welcome on the quiet night we visited, but when there's comedy on it must get rather squeezed. The drinks range is fairly standard, although they do have San Miguel on tap, and some rather tempting Happy Hour offers caught our attention. This place really stood out for one reason - we were served by the fastest barman in the west, who brought us our drinks practically before we'd finished ordering them. An accidentally smashed glass on the other side of the bar was cleared up with similar rapidity, leaving us goggle-eyed and rather impressed. Worth a look-in, if you're in the area - you could do a lot worse.
