The Ridgeway, Enfield
FancyaPint?'s review...
As a reviewer, its difficult to write exciting and interesting things about a pub when its part of a chain where every outlet is almost identical. We've looked hard, but like its brothers and sisters, The Ridgeway offers few surprises, pleasant or otherwise. Along this busy stretch of commuter rat-run near Chase Farm Hospital, this member of the Ember Inns chain has the usual good service, hearty menu and well kept ales, all offset against a predictable, bland interior. The car park indicated the out-of-the-way nature of the place and many of the clientele were car owners; we imagine it gets busy on weekends with the Sunday Lunch crowd. If you're looking for the last outpost of civilisation before venturing into greenbelt Hertfordshire, this might just be it.
