It's a Wetherspoon and this is the Elephant, so you've an idea what to expect: a pub packed with people after a cheap session and maybe a bit of food. The setting (right on the roundabout) is less than bucolic, and so is the atmosphere. A recent(ish) refit has given the pub a different name and a smarter interior, but despite the bright lights there's not much joy to be had here.
