The Roebuck, Vauxhall
FancyaPint?'s review...
Hidden away behind Oval tube, from the outside the Roebuck has the look of a converted house. This sensation is carried on inside: the wallpaper, carpet and curtains all giving off the feel of a front room (or perhaps three front rooms, given how they clash). An adequate array of drinks is on offer, including a couple of ales and a small beer garden at the back has a certain charm. Even if this isn't that bad a boozer, it's one that was sparsely populated when we stopped by, with only a very small handful of blokey locals. The deer pictures that adorn the walls are a nice reference to the pub's name, but there's not a lot here to entice you this far from the pubs on the main drag.
