The Royal Oak is one of the more decent pubs in this area. The beer and food are good, bar staff friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed. It is busiest at the usual lunchtimes and few hours after work, but there appear to be enough locals to keep it pleasantly ticking over at other times. Worth a visit if you're in the area.
