The Sporting Page, Chelsea
FancyaPint?'s review...
Perhaps surprisingly for where it's located, the Sporting Page is a fairly normal sports pub with decent beer, friendly (if a bit posh) locals and reasonably priced food. There are four hand pumps with regular guest beers as well as the usual selection of Eurolagers. If you're not into sport, it's worth avoiding when the footy, rugby, or other sport's on, as it tends to fill up with sporty types, but it can be a bit quiet during the week - a great place for a pint and a paper with the slightly eccentric locals. It's not even vaguely pretentious and is far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the main roads to make it a pleasant alternative at anytime except for but match days.
