A bunker-like pub squatting on one of the side streets around Victoria station. In contrast to the rather transient and touristy places in the area it's a gay pub - although we don't know how much a regular clientele it attracts. Add to this the fact that it's the last place in the area to close at night and, at weekends, you'll get an influx of people reluctant to go home to add to its core clientele. If you find yourself in this position, note you'll have to pay a cover charge to get inside. For all that it was pretty crowded and noisy on our visit (a Friday night) and there was a semi-nightclub feel to the place. Service was slow and slightly reluctant, leaving us ample time to find a tactful way of disappointing the friendly gentleman with whom we were chatting at the bar.
