The Stonhouse, Clapham Common
FancyaPint?'s review...
Hidden in the back streets away from Clapham High Street et al, this is a bit more upmarket than your average pub. Decent beer, a very modern interior - we love the cast aluminium barstools with lions claw feet - a slightly compact but leafy beer garden, what more do you need? Menu is a bit more interesting than a lot of gastro-type places - pig's head terrine anyone? We think it's a great little haven with friendly and accommodating staff, if a bit formal. We're looking forward to whiling away a Sunday afternoon in the garden, but we'd reckon you need to get there early to bagsie a spot. Pop in for weekend brunch, a traditional Sunday lunch, a delicious three-course dinner or a proper pie and a pint whatever you have we think you will like it!
